A retinol derivative composed of retinol and sunflower seed fatty acids. It’s a new innovation in the world of retinoids, found to be less irritating than its predecessors, yet just as efficacious—it’s shown to improve the appearance of fine lines, dark spots, texture, and blemishes. We put 0.5% in our formula (enough to get the benefits, while still being tolerable for all skin types).

Sourced from the stems and leaves of the Stevia plant, it helps smooth the overall appearance of your skin, specifically working on the fine lines. Think of it as retinol’s naturally-derived supporting actor.

A plant-derived extract from the Ophiopogon Japonicus Root, it acts as a humectant to help your skin hold onto moisture. This keeps your skin conditioned, and helps minimize unwanted irritation that often comes along with using a retinoid.

Designed for nightly use only. Apply a pea-sized pump over freshly cleansed, dry skin. Allow about 15 seconds for the formula to fully absorb, then follow with a moisturizer. 

  1. To start, use about one or two nights per week, and increase slowly, so it works its way up to a permanent spot in your nightly routine. And please, don’t skip the SPF, as the formula may increase skin’s sensitivity to the sun.
  2. There are a few rules though: Keep away from eyes. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Limit sun exposure. Stop use if excessive peeling or irritation occurs.
  3. Ok a few more: For our sensitive skin besties, pair with a hydrating serum (like Super Bounce) before and after. If you’re new here, try a patch test first on your wrist before applying all over your face. If using other AHA’s or chemical exfoliators (like Solution), acne treatments or other retinoid products, consider alternating nights with Universal Pro-Retionol to keep skin safe and happy.
